What began as a film about sacred plant medicines became a real-time documentation of awakening.
It follows filmmaker and martial artist Ramin Sohrab, who unknowingly filmed his own transformation after a decade of struggle, loss, and ego-driven pursuit.
The Awakening
Ramin Sohrab’s journey began in the world of ego, a life driven by ambition, control, and the pursuit of something outside himself. For years, it seemed like everything was working. Until something deeper began to break through.
What started as a film about plant medicine slowly became something else entirely. Not a story he was directing, but a process he was living. Through a series of intense and transformative experiences, Ramin began to see through the identity he had built.
The roles, the success, the image,
all revealed themselves as layers. And one by one, they began to fall.
